For mutual fund distributors

A distributor's day

Know what is inside every fund your client holds, before they ask.

  • Fund X-ray before the meeting: overlap, manager changes and category drift, so nothing in the review surprises you.
  • Know the Direct-plan question before your client asks it, with the cost in rupees and what your service adds against it.
  • Fund pages with holdings, sectors, ratios and managers, each figure dated to its source.

Regular plans

When a client asks, "Why not Direct?"

Every client meets the question one day, from a cousin, an app or a news story. Be ready with the honest cost and the work you do for it, before they ask.

  • The cost, stated plainly

The extra expense ratio in rupees on the client's own amount. Hiding it costs more trust than it saves.

  • Your work, made visible

Reviews, rebalancing, nominee and KYC updates, capital gains statements, and a call when markets fall.

  • In their language

Ready to send on WhatsApp in English, Hindi, Gujarati or Marathi, checked for red flags first.

Client answerSample data

My friend says Direct plans are cheaper. Why am I in the Regular plan?

What it costs

About ₹8,000 a year more than Direct on your ₹10 lakh: the expense ratio is 0.8 percentage points higher.

What it pays for

  • Yearly portfolio review and rebalancing
  • Nominee, KYC and bank mandate updates
  • Capital gains statement at tax time
  • A call from me when markets fall

Direct suits investors who do all of this themselves. If you would rather I keep doing it, Regular is how that is paid for.

The tools

Six tools, one source of truth

Every tool reads the same cleaned data, so a figure in a fund review, a WhatsApp post and a DhanGuru answer is the same figure, with the same date. All fund and stock figures shown here are sample data.

01DhanGuru

Live

Ask the way you would ask a senior analyst, in English, Hindi, Gujarati or Marathi.

  • Which flexi cap funds have the lowest Regular-plan TER?
  • What did Nippon India Small Cap buy and sell last month?
  • How much do these two funds overlap?
  • Explain this fund's Sharpe ratio to my client.

Every number, with its हिसाब

हिसाब (hi·saab): the full account of a number. When a client hears "13.9%", they hear one figure. We keep five facts attached to it, so it can be checked, repeated and defended.

Before you ask

Questions people ask first

What it does, what it doesn't, and where every figure comes from.

  • No. Shreedhanam provides data and software to mutual fund distributors. It describes what funds have done and what they hold; it does not tell anyone to buy, sell or switch. Answers and posts carry the standard risk line, and DhanGuru declines to give buy or sell calls.
